SUMMARY

This project explores how graphene can be used to strengthen concrete and other building materials while allowing for the inclusion of recycled content. Led by the University of Melbourne, with LOLC as the key industry partner, the team is investigating how small amounts of graphene can significantly improve material performance. The ultimate aim is to support the broader use of upcycled waste in construction by developing graphene-enhanced products like stronger concrete, safer facade elements, and better energy storage solutions.

OPPORTUNITIES

Research grants supporting innovation in circular construction materials

Collaboration opportunities with government and industry on low-carbon infrastructure solutions

Real-world application of graphene to improve sustainability and safety in building products
